Georgia’s own Jason Aldean has been announced as the leading nominee for the 2011 CMT Music Awards, with a total of four nominations. Meanwhile, The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and Zac Brown Band earned three nominations apiece. In addition, Kenny Chesney, Sugarland and Carrie Underwood, who each earned two nominations, join all these seven artists in the top category for video of the year. The nominees were revealed on NBC’s Today on Wednesday morning (April 27). Online fan voting in all 10 categories is now open at CMT.com through June 7. The show will take place in Nashville on June 8.

The award will be presented at the conclusion of the show to the artist and the director.
